Iran waives transit restrictions, Iraq urges customers to submit oil loading plans.
Documents show that the Iraqi State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) has requested customers to submit their crude oil loading plans within 24 hours. Earlier reports in the media stated that Iran has waived all transit restrictions for Iraq through the Strait of Hormuz. The document released by SOMO on Sunday stated, "Given the above situation, to ensure the continuity and stability of crude oil export operations, we urge your company to submit the loading plan within 24 hours so that we can promptly process your loading plan, including vessel designation and contract loading volume, and ensure full compliance with the terms and conditions agreed upon by both parties." The document also stated, "We reiterate that all loading terminals, including the Basra Oil Terminal and related facilities, are fully operational, SOMO is prepared to execute all loading plans stipulated in contracts without any restrictions."
