Industry insiders believe that lithium carbonate prices have experienced a short-term pullback.
In recent days, the price of lithium carbonate futures has been continuously declining. As of April 3rd, the main contract closed at 156,960 yuan/ton, a decrease of 1.42%. Industry insiders believe that the short-term decline in lithium carbonate prices is mainly due to disruptions in the lithium supply side resurfacing. Recently, there have been reports in the market that China Minmetals has obtained an export quota for lithium concentrates in Zimbabwe. In response to this, a staff member of the securities department of China Minmetals told reporters that the company is still in communication with the local government in Zimbabwe, and there have been some progress, but there is currently no clear timeline. The market generally expects that the relevant export regulations will be finalized and implemented in April.
