In China's imports of helium, imports from the Middle East account for over 50%. It is understood that from February 28 to now, the price of imported regulated helium has risen from around 80 yuan per cubic meter to 155 yuan per cubic meter, an increase of over 90%, while the domestic helium price has risen relatively lower. Currently, companies are actively responding by accelerating the layout of helium purification equipment and seeking new helium sources. In addition, in the field of natural gas helium extraction and helium purification, China is also increasing research and development investment to increase the self-sufficiency rate of domestically produced helium. Data shows that the compound growth rate of domestic helium production over the past five years has reached 40.3%. Industry insiders predict that helium prices will remain high in the near future, and with the growth in downstream demand, the domestic helium industry chain is expected to further develop.
