On the first day of the Qingming holiday, the total number of vehicles on highways in Guangdong Province reached approximately 10.223 million, an increase of 20.76% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the traffic volume on the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link reached about 182,000 vehicles, setting a new record. On April 4, 2026, the total number of inter-regional travelers in Guangdong Province reached 37.0785 million, an increase of 15.5% year-on-year. Specifically, the cumulative railway passenger volume reached 2.307 million, an increase of 7.70% year-on-year. The total number of road travelers reached 34.3887 million, an increase of 16.35% year-on-year. Among them, the non-commercial small passenger car travelers on highways and national and provincial roads reached 32.3808 million, an increase of 17.22% year-on-year. The waterway passenger volume was 138,100, with the Qiongzhou Strait ferry carrying 84,800 passengers and a total of 24,900 vehicles entering and exiting the island; the Pearl River saw a total of 19,800 tourist passengers. Civil aviation passenger volume reached 251,000, an increase of 13.94% year-on-year. The total number of vehicles on highways was approximately 10.223 million, an increase of 20.76% year-on-year. Among them, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area saw approximately 7.6025 million vehicles on highways; the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge saw approximately 24,300 vehicles, a 4.45% increase year-on-year; and the Huangmao Sea Cross-Sea Channel saw approximately 21,400 vehicles.
