The price of oil in the United States has risen to $4.1 per gallon, an increase of 37% since the outbreak of the war in Iran.

According to data from the American Automobile Association, on April 4th local time, the average price of gasoline in the United States rose to $4.10 per gallon, an increase of 12 cents from the previous week. Since the U.S. launched strikes against Iran on February 28th, gasoline prices have increased by 37%. The rise in oil prices is mainly due to the near closure of the Strait of Hormuz and a decrease in oil production in the Middle East. California has the highest average gasoline price in the United States, at nearly $5.92 per gallon, while Oklahoma has the lowest at $3.29.
