Zhejiang Jin Qi Men Nuclear Power "Hualong One" Unit 2 construction has started comprehensively.

Today, the concrete pouring of the nuclear island of Unit 2 of the Hualong One reactor at Zhejiang Jin Qi Men Nuclear Power Group marks the start of the main construction phase of the unit. Unit 2 of the Jin Qi Men Nuclear Power Plant uses China's self-developed third-generation nuclear technology, with a design operating life of 60 years, and is planned to be completed and put into operation for power generation in 2031. According to the introduction, the Jin Qi Men Nuclear Power Project plans to build a total of six million kilowatt pressurized water reactor Hualong One nuclear units. Once completed, the annual power generation of the project will reach 55 billion kilowatt-hours, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 45 million tons. This will provide strong support for energy and power supply guarantee, as well as green and low-carbon transformation in Zhejiang Province and the Yangtze River Delta region.
