Continuously promote "Guarding the People's Livelihood", the Supreme People's Procuratorate clarifies 16 key tasks.
On April 3, the Supreme People's Procuratorate deployed the nationwide procuratorial organs to carry out the "protecting people's livelihood" work in depth. The Supreme People's Procuratorate has made it clear that the work of "protecting people's livelihood" in 2026 will focus on three key areas, namely focusing on key areas, providing strong services for high-quality economic and social development; focusing on key groups, continuously strengthening the protection of the rights and interests of specific groups; seizing outstanding livelihood issues to help relieve the urgent needs and worries of the masses.
Specifically, there are 16 key tasks, including: strengthening the handling of civil oversight cases in areas such as finance and real estate; vigorously carrying out procuratorial supervision work in the fields of social security and medical insurance; continuously deepening the protection of the ecological environment and natural resources; continuously promoting the law-based governance of cyberspace; lawfully safeguarding the healthy growth of minors; lawfully safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of women; continuously deepening the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly; continuously strengthening the protection of the rights and interests of disabled persons; resolutely safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of heroes, martyrs, military personnel, and their families; lawfully safeguarding food and drug safety; intensifying efforts in the field of workplace safety production cases; strengthening the comprehensive governance of issues related to the protection of laborers; continuously promoting judicial assistancework; increasing judicial protection efforts for cultural relics and cultural heritage; strengthening the procuratorial work serving the "three rural" areas; and normalizing the diversified resolution of contradictions and disputes.
