Ministry of Finance: Minister of Finance Lou Jiwei meets with Canadian Minister of Finance Shang Pengfei.

On the afternoon of April 2, 2026, Minister of Finance Lian Fo'an of the Ministry of Finance met with Canadian Minister of Finance Shang Pengfei in Beijing to exchange views on China-Canada relations, China-Canada economic relations, and the macroeconomic situation and policies of both countries. Deputy Minister of Finance Liao Min, Canadian Ambassador to China Meiqianlin, and Director of the Financial Institutions Regulatory Bureau Lautelich were also present at the meeting.
