According to the Ministry of Commerce, big data from commerce shows that from January to March 2026, the sales volume of consumer goods in exchange for old ones exceeded 433.17 billion yuan, benefiting 60.93 million people. Specifically, the sales volume of automobiles in exchange for old ones was 228.69 billion yuan. From January to March, a total of 1.408 million subsidy applications were received for the exchange of old cars, driving new car sales volume to 228.69 billion yuan. Among them, 403,000 applications were for scrappage subsidies, driving sales volume to 51.96 billion yuan; 1.005 million applications were for replacement subsidies, driving sales volume to 176.73 billion yuan. The sales volume of household appliances in exchange for old ones, as well as new purchases of digital and smart products, was 204.48 billion yuan. From January to March, a total of 59.525 million units of 6 types of household appliances in exchange for old ones, and digital and smart products were sold, driving sales volume to 204.48 billion yuan. Among them, 23.205 million units were sold in exchange for old household appliances, driving sales volume to 95.43 billion yuan; 36.32 million units were sold for new purchases of digital and smart products, driving sales volume to 109.05 billion yuan.
