Meta is continuing to advance its human resources restructuring and layoff plan in the San Francisco Bay Area. According to two official documents submitted to the California Employment Development Department this week, Meta plans to cut 124 and 74 jobs in its Burlingame and Sunnyvale offices, respectively. The documents reveal that the layoffs of nearly 200 employees have been scheduled to take effect in late May of this year and are specified as permanent. This latest move is part of Meta's recent series of extensive personnel adjustments. In the past few weeks, the company has cut a total of about 700 jobs across the entire system, affecting business areas such as personnel recruitment, commercial sales, daily operations, and Reality Labs, which was once highly anticipated and focused on the metaverse business.
