The head of Tesla's Japanese business announced on Friday that the company plans to expand the number of stores in Japan to at least 60, with the aim of becoming the country's largest imported car brand as early as next year. Over the past two years, Tesla has increased sales in Japan by expanding its store and service network, as well as increasing investment in training, despite the overall low penetration rate of electric vehicles in Japan.
