According to foreign media reports, a container ship marked as French-owned has left the Strait of Hormuz, becoming the first known Western European-related vessel to pass through the key waterway since it was almost closed due to war. According to ship tracking data, the freighter named "CMA CGM Kribi" sailed from near Dubai on Thursday afternoon local time towards Iran and publicly broadcast its French ownership. The ship closely followed the Iranian coast, passing through the channel between Qeshm Island and Larak Island, and showed that it had arrived near Muscat on Friday morning. Two informed sources confirmed that the ship successfully crossed the strait. The vessel can carry approximately 5000 standard containers (TEUs), and the depth of its draft shows that it is heavily loaded, suggesting that it is fully loaded with cargo.
