The "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry Planning Symposium was held in Wuhan.

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the previous sessions of the 20th National Congress, and to scientifically plan the development blueprint of the electronic information manufacturing industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, on March 27, 2026, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a symposium on the planning of the electronic information manufacturing industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Yang Xudong, the director of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the meeting, with comrades from the relevant offices of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the High-Tech Department of the National Development and Reform Commission. Representatives from 12 provinces including Tianjin, Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Xinjiang participated in the meeting. At the meeting, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology introduced the background, work already carried out, and the main ideas for the formulation of the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the electronic information manufacturing industry. Representatives from local industry and information technology departments provided opinions and suggestions on the draft plan, focusing on optimizing regional layouts, aligning with the national "15th Five-Year Plan," specifying industrialization directions in specific sectors, and further enhancing openness to the outside world. The meeting pointed out that the electronic information manufacturing industry has characteristics such as large scale, long supply chains, active innovation, a large market, high degree of internationalization, high security risks in the industry chain supply chain, and prominent strengths and weaknesses. The regional cluster development is obvious, and it plays a significant role in enabling and leading the development of the industrial economy of each province. It is necessary to accurately grasp the new situation and tasks faced by the development of the electronic information manufacturing industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, adhere to a systematic concept, strengthen overall coordination, fully absorb local opinions and suggestions, ensure coordination between levels, accelerate the formulation of the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the electronic information manufacturing industry, and provide strong support for promoting high-quality development of the electronic information manufacturing industry and building a manufacturing powerhouse.
