The southern region will see the first round of heavy rainfall since the beginning of the rainy season this year. It is expected that from April 2nd to 4th, there will be a strong rainfall process in most parts of Jiangnan, eastern and northern parts of southern China, and eastern parts of southwestern China. Within the areas of heavy rain, some small and medium-sized rivers may experience floods exceeding the warning water level. The Ministry of Water Resources will continuously consult and assess the rainfall situation, water situation, and flood situation, promptly urge and remind local authorities to implement various defense measures, closely monitor weak points in flood prevention such as the prevention of floods in small and medium-sized rivers, prevention of mountain torrents, and safety of small and medium-sized reservoirs during the flood season.
