According to the latest data from the American Automobile Association, the average price of regular gasoline in the United States has soared by nearly 5 cents per gallon to $4.06, marking the largest single-day increase in over two weeks. The day before this increase, gas prices broke the $4 per gallon mark for the first time since 2022. In the previous week, gas prices had only increased by a fraction of a cent each day, rounding to a stable $3.98 per gallon for nearly a week.
