The Yangtze River Basin officially enters the flood season starting today.

On April 1st, the Yangtze River basin officially entered the flood season. According to the latest trend prediction, the climate of the Yangtze River basin during the flood season in 2026 will be generally abnormal, with normal to below average precipitation in the basin, but the distribution of precipitation in time and space is uneven. The Yangtze River Commission has initiated a 24-hour on-duty water and drought disaster defense, to ensure the safety of people's lives, property, and urban and rural water supply.
