According to new data released by Omdia at the FED exhibition in Madrid, it is estimated that by 2030, global traditional TV and online video revenue will exceed $1 trillion. This data highlights a major structural shift in the media and entertainment industry, with total revenue expected to increase from $775 billion in 2025 to $1.03 trillion in 2030, driven primarily by digital formats, especially advertising. Online video advertising will become the main growth engine, with revenue expected to increase from $309 billion in 2025 to $540 billion in 2030, with the share of total revenue also increasing from 40% to 53%. In the online advertising sector, social video platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube will play a decisive role, with these platforms expected to generate around $400 billion in streaming advertising revenue by 2030.
