Long holiday coming in Hong Kong and Macau; Hong Kong Transport Department will enhance transportation services.

The Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced today that during the Qingming Festival holiday, it is expected that there will be a large number of local residents, visitors to Hong Kong, and cross-border vehicles using various land boundary crossings. They urge cross-border travelers to use public transport as much as possible to travel between Hong Kong and mainland China or Macau, plan their trips early, and allocate ample time for transportation. The Transport Department has supervised local and cross-border public transport operators to enhance services during the long holiday to meet the different travel needs of passengers, including: 1. MTR Corporation Limited will enhance the East Rail Line services between Admiralty and Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau stations at different times to meet passenger demand for local residents and travelers. 2. Increase the frequency of shuttle buses on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, with services available every minute during peak times. 3. Increase the frequency of shuttle buses between Lok Ma Chau and Huanggang, with services available every two minutes during peak times. 4. Increase the quota of cross-border through buses to enhance services. 5. Increase the frequency of local shuttle buses connecting various land boundary crossings on Line B to a level higher than usual weekends, with operators reserving vehicles and staff to meet passenger demand.
