Wang Daoshu, Deputy Director of the State Taxation Administration, introduced at a press conference held on April 1st that since the beginning of this year, the national tax authorities have been collecting taxes and fees in accordance with the law and regulations. In the first quarter, tax revenue exceeded 8.4 trillion yuan; deepening reforms in the taxation field, solidly promoting the smooth implementation of the value-added tax law and its regulations; strengthening tax compliance management, and enhancing tax supervision in key areas.
