On Tuesday, Sequoia Capital appointed Doug Leone, an investor who has been with the company since 1988, as chairman. The company stated that after Leone's retirement from new investment activities in 2022, he will once again be involved in new investment transactions. A source familiar with Leone's thoughts said that because he no longer serves as a director for recently acquired investment portfolio companies, such as Wiz, he now has more time to focus on investment work.
