Shanghai's century-old "The Bund No. 1" space will be revitalized to create a new cultural landmark on the Bund.

On March 31, 2026, the new gallery of the Jiushi Art Museum at No. 1 The Bund in Shanghai officially opened. On the same day, the new gallery's debut exhibition "Exploring Everything" also opened. Located at the geographical center of The Bund's historic buildings, No. 1 The Bund is engraved with and witnesses the growth and changes of Shanghai's urban culture over the past century. The main venue of the Jiushi Art Museum has relocated from No. 27 The Bund to the second and third floors of No. 1 The Bund. Co-curated by the Jiushi Art Museum and curator Jiang Jiehong, this exhibition confronts global ecological issues using contemporary art as a medium to deeply explore environmental themes, in line with the museum's long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility.
