Wu Qiqi: If ground warfare breaks out in Iran, the world will face the biggest energy catastrophe.
Serbian President Vucic said at a press conference held in the capital Belgrade on March 30 that if oil prices continue to rise and ground warfare breaks out in Iran, the entire world, especially Europe, will face the largest energy and economic disaster in history. He said, "A few days ago, oil was still at $65 a barrel, today it's already at $115, and it will double soon. And the worst part is, it won't stop there... Who will pay for this? The people cannot afford it, no country can bear it." Vucic called on Europe to pay attention to the increasingly severe energy situation, negotiate with other suppliers, and work to mitigate the oil crisis. It is reported that Vucic held a phone call with Russian President Putin on March 30 and reached an agreement to extend the existing Russian natural gas supply contract to Serbia by three months.
