Toyota plans to invest in Cellcentric, holding equal shares with Volvo and Daimler Trucks.
Sina Finance reported on March 31st that Volvo Group, Daimler Truck, Cellcentric, and Toyota Motor Corporation have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the field of fuel cell technology. The three companies plan to collaborate on the basis of equal shareholding, with Toyota joining as the third joint venture partner in Cellcentric. After the transaction is completed, Toyota will bring its complementary and professional technologies into the joint venture. Cellcentric will continue to operate as an independent entity. Volvo, Daimler Truck, and Toyota will continue to compete independently in all other areas of their respective businesses.
