On March 20 and March 23, 2026, Li Tao, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Healthcare Security Administration, met separately in Beijing with leaders of several multinational medical enterprises and industry associations, including Lilly, Novartis, Medtronic, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Cohen Group, and the US-China Business Council. Li Tao expressed that the National Healthcare Security Administration is resolutely implementing China's new requirements for further opening up to the outside world, continuously improving the level of opening up, building a cooperation platform, and welcoming deep participation from all parties in healthcare reform and development. The foreign representatives stated that they will actively respond to the reform needs, strengthen cooperation in innovative research and development, and optimize multi-level protection mechanisms. This meeting further facilitated communication channels and laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation.
