The number of passengers on the China-Laos Railway has exceeded 70 million.

Sina Finance reported on March 31st that, according to the Kunming Railway Bureau, since the opening of the China-Laos Railway for operation, the total number of passengers sent on the whole line has exceeded 70 million. On the domestic section, the daily operation of passenger trains has increased from 8 trains in the initial stage to a maximum of 86 trains, with a total of over 57.1 million passengers sent; on the Laotian section, the daily operation of passenger trains has increased from 4 trains in the initial stage to a maximum of 18 trains, with the expansion of regular passenger trains to more than 10 cars, and a total of over 12.9 million passengers sent. The total monthly passenger volume on the entire line has increased from 600,000 in the initial stage to a maximum of 2.25 million, playing an important role in promoting regional economic development and cultural exchanges.
