Sina Finance reported on March 31st that in order to promote first aid education in schools and improve the first aid literacy and skills of teachers and students, the Ministry of Education recently issued a notice on the implementation of the "Guarding Life as the First Lesson" public welfare project. Through public donations and other means, support will be provided to various regions to carry out in-depth dissemination of first aid knowledge, equip first aid facilities, and provide training in rescue skills, effectively safeguarding the health of young people. The notice emphasizes the importance of carrying out the "Guarding Life as the First Lesson" public welfare project, cultivating students and teachers with a spirit of respect for life and willingness to help others through knowledge dissemination and skills training. It also stresses the need for collaboration and coordination, leveraging support from philanthropic funds to coordinate various forces such as education, healthcare, public welfare organizations, and enterprises to form a united effort. The project will be implemented over a period of three years, covering 31 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in three phases. The main tasks include providing automatic external defibrillators to primary and secondary schools in areas with weak first aid equipment, establishing first aid education studios in each district and county with simulation training equipment, training professional teachers for each studio, organizing students in different phases to learn first aid knowledge and skills, developing course resources tailored to different student groups, establishing an expert first aid volunteer database and a campus "first aid circle," and encouraging teachers and students to participate in first aid through incentive mechanisms.
