Sina Finance News on March 31st, according to the Financial Times, three sources revealed that in the weeks leading up to the US attack on Iran, the broker for US Defense Secretary Hagyel S. had attempted to make a large investment in a major defense company. These sources said that Hagyel S.'s broker at Morgan Stanley contacted BlackRock in February, hoping to invest millions of dollars in the asset management company's "Defense Industry Active ETF," and shortly thereafter, the US took military action against Tehran. According to sources, the inquiry made by the broker on behalf of this high-profile potential client drew attention within BlackRock. The fund has risen 28% in the past year, but has not risen due to the Middle East war, instead falling nearly 13% in the past month. The report said that the investment intention presented to BlackRock did not ultimately materialize, avoiding short-term losses.
