Shenzhen Huaqiangbei is now having a clearance sale on memory modules. Some merchants say that prices of certain models have dropped by nearly 30% in a week.
Sina Finance News on March 30th, reporters visited the Huaqiangbei electronics market in Shenzhen today and learned that since last week, the spot price of DDR5 memory modules has dropped significantly. Among them, the price of a 32GB DDR5 memory module, which was around 3000 yuan per module last week, has decreased by 500-1050 yuan per module this week. "I just sold a batch of products for 2500 yuan per module." Some merchants said that some DDR5 products are currently being sold off, and some even said that they are selling for 1950 yuan per module. As for the future market expectations, opinions of the interviewed merchants vary: some merchants believe that there may still be a downward trend in the future, but some merchants believe that because of the support of upstream prices, this round of price cuts may be difficult to sustain. A person from a listed company with memory module business said that this round of sell-off may be due to lackluster short-term market demand and downstream businesses hoping for quick turnover, but the price decline does not affect the overall upward trend of the entire storage industry, including memory modules.
