Minoxidil lotion, the original research drug, was first approved for listing in the United States in August 1988, with Johnson And Johnson Group Consumer Companies holding the license. The product comes in a 2% formulation that is suitable for both men and women, used to treat male-pattern baldness and alopecia areata. The 5% formulation is only for use by men, also for treating male-pattern baldness and alopecia areata. As of the date of this announcement, the original research drug has not been launched in the domestic market, with a total of 62 manufacturers in China, including Jiangsu Deyi, having obtained the drug registration certificate for minoxidil lotion.
