China Telecom's subsidiary was fined 200,000 yuan by Hubei Provincial Communications Administration for obstructing users from transferring their phone numbers to other networks.
Sina Finance reported on March 30th that recently, the Hubei Provincial Communication Administration imposed administrative penalties on China Telecom Corporation Limited's Xiaogan Branch. The company was fined 200,000 yuan for obstructing users from transferring their numbers and engaging in unfair competition by using agreements that do not have time limits and breach responsibility. They were ordered to correct their behavior.
