The Montparnasse Tower in Paris, France, is about to be completely closed for renovation.
The famous landmark building Montparnasse Tower in the city center of Paris, France, is set to close for a complete renovation project. The top floor observation deck, popular among tourists, will also be closed to the public. Built in the 1970s, Montparnasse Tower is one of the few high-rise buildings in Paris. After its completion, the observation deck located at a height of approximately 200 meters became an important spot for visitors to overlook the panoramic view of Paris. According to the plan, the renovation project will include a comprehensive upgrade of the building's exterior facade, energy systems, and interior spaces, aiming to transform it into a more modern and environmentally friendly tower. The renovation period is expected to last for several years.
