Local time on Sunday, Jim Himes, the Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, accused President Trump of making "outright lies" last week about negotiating with Iran amid market turmoil and ongoing war. "Last Sunday, he realized that 'the markets were in serious financial crisis,' so he made up those remarks," Himes said in an interview on the program. "The Iranians now realize they have the upper hand. Gasoline prices have risen by over $1 per gallon. They realize, 'Wow, we have a huge bargaining chip.'"
