Guangdong enters the peak season for severe convective weather, with thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail occurring in many areas.

On the evening of March 29th, according to the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Bureau, around noon that day, a strong convective cloud cluster originally located in Guangxi moved into Guangdong and gradually intensified as it moved eastward. Under its influence, Maoming, Yunfu, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, Foshan, Guangzhou and other cities successively experienced moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing localized heavy rain, accompanied by 8 to 10 level short-term thunderstorm strong winds and hail.
