Wall Street analysts predict: Tesla and SpaceX may merge next year.
According to Teslarati, Wall Street has once again thrown out a highly speculative prediction: Tesla, under Elon Musk, and SpaceX may complete a merger in 2027. Analyst Dan Ives of Wedbush reiterated in a recent research report that this prediction is no longer just a bold guess, but is increasingly looking like a reality in progress. Ives stated that the foundation for a Tesla and SpaceX merger in 2027 has gradually formed. Previously, Tesla's $2 billion investment in xAI has been converted into SpaceX shares after SpaceX acquired xAI earlier this year, although the stake is less than 1%, this is the first time the two companies have established a direct connection on a capital level. More importantly, the two parties recently announced plans to jointly build the TERAFAB facility in Austin, Texas. Ives believes that this is the first step towards deep integration between the two companies. At the same time, it is expected that SpaceX's IPO, which is expected to launch as early as mid-June, will further accelerate this process.
