On March 27, Mr. Li Shaobin, Chief Digital Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Mainland Business of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, stated at the "Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Forum" event at the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting that in the context of the deepening of the "artificial intelligence +" action, the mainland artificial intelligence industry has entered a key stage of large-scale application, and related enterprises are facing an important window of opportunity for international expansion. The Hong Kong Productivity Council will leverage its comprehensive service advantages to provide forward-looking technological support and a "6-step international expansion" service system, helping mainland enterprises break through technological barriers and overseas market access thresholds with the help of the Hong Kong platform while promoting collaborative innovation development among Beijing, Hong Kong, and Macao. Mr. Li particularly pointed out that in the face of the wave of artificial intelligence development, small and medium-sized enterprises face multiple challenges in talent reserves, resource integration, cost control, and data security. The Hong Kong Productivity Council is actively helping companies address these shortcomings and accelerate their pace of transformation towards digitalization and intelligence. On the same day, the ninth "Beijing-Hong Kong Youth Entrepreneurship Cup" entrepreneurship competition Beijing selection round, jointly organized by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Management Committee, the Hong Kong Productivity Council, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was officially launched. The competition focuses on the core track of artificial intelligence, providing a platform for the exhibition, connection, and acceleration of science and technology innovation projects in Beijing, Hong Kong, and even the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Greater Bay Area regions, cultivating future leaders in science and technology innovation, and accelerating the construction of the national strategic talent force.
