Boeing aircraft nearly collides with "Black Hawk" helicopter, US Federal Aviation Administration launches investigation.
On the 26th local time, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) launched an investigation into a near-miss incident near John Wayne Airport in California. It is reported that on March 24th local time, a United Airlines Boeing 737 carrying 168 people came dangerously close to colliding with a US military Black Hawk helicopter during the final approach process. The incident did not result in any casualties. The FAA is currently investigating whether the incident involves air traffic control communication or flight procedural issues. This incident has once again raised concerns about aviation safety around busy airports. Recently, a Canadian airline plane collided with a rescue truck at LaGuardia Airport in the US, resulting in the deaths of two pilots and injuries to dozens of people.
