Apple is planning to open up Siri to external artificial intelligence assistants, aiming to turn the iPhone into an artificial intelligence platform, which is a significant move. According to sources, Apple is preparing to implement this change as part of a comprehensive overhaul of Siri in its upcoming iOS 27 operating system update. Through a partnership with OpenAI, Siri has already been able to access ChatGPT, but Apple will now allow competing service providers to also access it. Sources indicate that Apple is developing new tools to integrate AI chatbot applications installed through the App Store with Siri assistant.
