The US House Armed Services Committee passed a bill requiring military aircraft to be equipped with collision avoidance technology.
CCTV reporters learned that on March 26th local time, the U.S. House Armed Services Committee passed a comprehensive aviation safety reform bill with a vote of 53 to 0. The committee requires that all military aircraft, excluding fighter jets, bombers, and drones, must be equipped with anti-collision technology by 2031. The bill aims to implement recommendations made by the National Transportation Safety Board after a collision between a U.S. commercial aircraft and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter in January 2025. In addition, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure also separately reviewed other relevant provisions of the bill that day.
