The 3rd China-Italy Biodiversity Conference was held in Naples, Italy on the 26th, with Chinese and Italian political, academic, and professional figures exchanging views on cutting-edge research in biodiversity conservation. Fiorentino, the Chairman of the Future Biodiversity Center in Italy, stated in his opening speech that the two sides have already signed multiple cooperation agreements and are leading relevant research, especially in promoting the exchange and growth of young researchers from both countries, which contributes to the continuous development of scientific cooperation between the two countries. Marklin, the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Biodiversity Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, expressed that global biodiversity conservation is currently at a critical juncture, and the "Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework" has provided a clear direction for global actions until 2030 and beyond. By working together, China and Italy will support the implementation of the framework, ensuring that the scientific voices of both sides carry weight in global biodiversity governance.
