The assessment report on the implementation of the remediation of the collapse disaster on the Cha'yang section of the Meitai Expressway on May 1st has been released.
Recently, the official website of the Emergency Management Department of Guangdong Province released the "Evaluation Report on the Implementation of Rectification Measures for the "51" Landslide Disaster on the Chaoyang Section of Meidagao Expressway". The report shows that Guangdong has conducted a comprehensive inspection of 22.3 thousand kilometers of road infrastructure, identifying and rectifying a total of 16,069 hidden risks, and implementing closed-loop management. A total of 11,370 key slopes were inspected, with 4,252 hidden risks identified and rectified. The emergency repair and restoration project of the Chaoyang section of Meidagao Expressway has been completed, and the road was reopened on September 10, 2024, with traffic volume returning to the level before the interruption.
