As of April 1st, the Yellow River in Shanxi Province will enter the fishing ban period.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Shanxi Province, in order to strictly implement the national Yellow River fishing ban system, further conserve the water biological resources of Shanxi Province, protect biodiversity, improve the aquatic ecological environment, promote ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, the fishing ban period in the Shanxi section of the Yellow River is from April 1st to July 31st; the main stream of the Yellow River in Shanxi, the main streams of the Fen River and Qin River, and the main stream of their primary tributaries are designated as fishing ban areas. In addition, the fishing ban period in the Hai River Basin is from May 16th to July 31st; the Sanggan River, Hutuo River, Zhang River main stream segments in the Hai River Basin, and natural lake waters are designated as fishing ban areas.
