Researchers from Anhui University announced on the 25th that their team in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering has made a research breakthrough in the field of magnetic characterization technology. They have successfully developed a new characterization method that can resolve antiferromagnetic ordering at the atomic scale. The related findings were recently published in the international authoritative journal "Nature Nanotechnology". The atomic resolution magnetic imaging technology developed in this study has broken through the limitations of existing magnetic characterization technologies in spatial resolution and has provided a new research tool for the study of microscale magnetic structures.
