Establishment of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Intelligence Operations Group
As part of a major reorganization of the Japan Self-Defense Forces, the newly established "Information Operations Group" of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force held its founding ceremony at the Japanese Ministry of Defense today. It is said that the "Information Operations Group" has about 3,200 personnel and integrates four units in the Maritime Self-Defense Force that deal with intelligence information, aiming to combat the spread of false information, intelligence related to military movements of other countries, and network attacks in a unified manner.
