Samsung Group announced on Wednesday that it will respond to the South Korean government-led energy-saving initiative by voluntarily implementing a 10-day vehicle rotation and driving restriction system to address potential energy shortages caused by the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. In a statement, Samsung Group stated that this 10-day rotation system will be implemented in all of its domestic operations starting on Thursday. According to the plan, vehicles will be allowed to drive one day every ten days based on the last digit of their license plate number. Meanwhile, the South Korean government implemented a mandatory five-day vehicle rotation and driving restriction system for public sector vehicles on Wednesday, and took other energy-saving measures to prepare for possible disruptions in oil supply.
