Launching a series of measures to reduce the burden of application, the review of the recognition of "little giant" enterprises with specialized and innovative characteristics has begun.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a notice, officially launching the assessment and review work for the recognition of "small giant" enterprises focusing on specializations and innovations in 2026. Various measures to reduce the burden of application are introduced, and the core assessment indicators are optimized. The notice specifies that provincial-level specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for the eighth batch of "small giant" enterprises specializing in specializations and innovations, and those recognized in 2023 as the fifth batch and those approved in the second batch can apply for review. All applications are free of charge, and the application period is from April 25 to May 25. To reduce the burden on companies applying, this round of applications does not require third-party market share proof, domestic invention patent certificates, and other supporting materials. Companies only need to truthfully fill in relevant information, and patent data will be based on shared data from the National Intellectual Property Office.
