Major European stock indices closed with mixed gains and losses.

The European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.46%, the European Stoxx index rose by 0.36%, and the Eurozone blue chip index rose by 0.19%. The UK's FTSE 100 index rose by 0.6%, Germany's DAX index fell by 0.06%, France's CAC 40 index rose by 0.32%, and Spain's IBEX index rose by 0.18%.
