As of the end of February, the scale of private equity funds reached 22.6 trillion yuan.

According to data released by the China Fund Industry Association on March 24, in February 2026, there were 1899 new registered private equity funds with a total size of 1329.93 billion yuan. As of the end of February, there were 140,300 existing private equity funds with a total size of 22.6 trillion yuan. Specifically, there were 81,491 existing private equity securities funds with a total size of 7.35 trillion yuan; 29,898 existing private equity investment funds with a total size of 11.16 trillion yuan; and 28,119 existing venture capital funds with a total size of 3.8 trillion yuan.
