The Indian Foreign Trade Agency stated on Tuesday that India has extended the tariff quota authorization for the import of gold based on the India-Afghanistan trade agreement for the fiscal year 2025/26 until June 30. The Indian side stated that, given the "current geopolitical situation affecting global trade and logistics," the original deadline of March 31 has been extended. The statement mentioned that this extension will take effect automatically, and importers do not need to make any application or pay any fees.
