National Bureau of Statistics: By the end of 2025, the country had already built more than 100,000 high-quality datasets.

On March 24th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the relevant situation of the 9th China Digital Construction Summit. Liu Liehong, member of the Party Group of the National Development and Reform Commission and director of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated that with the joint efforts of all parties, the construction of high-quality data sets has made phased achievements. By the end of 2025, more than 100,000 high-quality data sets have been established nationwide, with a total volume exceeding 890PB, which is equivalent to about 310 times the total digital resources of the National Library of China. As of March this year, the daily average number of Token calls in China, which is the number of word element calls, has exceeded 14 trillion, an increase of over 1000 times compared to the beginning of 2024 and a 40% increase from the end of 2025 of 100 trillion. He said that the significant increase in the daily average Token call volume fully demonstrates that China's artificial intelligence development has entered a stage of rapid growth, with application scenarios continuously deepening. From being able to converse to being able to make decisions and execute them, the competitiveness of China's artificial intelligence industry has also significantly enhanced. The current hot discussion of Token "going global" is a sign of the increased competitiveness of the industry. From the perspective of data, it also marks a substantial increase in the supply of data sets, and the value of data elements is continuously being unlocked. The empowerment of data elements for the innovative development of artificial intelligence has entered a stage of positive interaction.
