State Intellectual Property Office: The industrialization rate of invention patents in universities and research institutions has significantly improved.

At the press conference held by the State Council Information Office today, the State Intellectual Property Office introduced that during the special action on patent transformation and utilization, around 80,000 invention patents from national universities and research institutions have successfully been industrialized. By the end of 2025, the industrialization rates of invention patents from universities and research institutions have reached 10.1% and 17.2% respectively, a significant increase compared to before the special action. A number of high-quality existing patents have been unearthed and successfully transformed.
